How to Get Started

Ready to have your food freeze-dried? It's easy!

  1. Give us a call or text
Tell us what you'd like to have freeze-dried and approximately how much you have. We'll answer any questions, discuss your options, and schedule your drop-off.
  2. Bring your food to your scheduled appointment
We'll arrange a convenient date and time for you to drop off your food.
  3. Bring your preferred packaging
You provide the packaging you'd like your finished food stored in. Mason jars are our preferred option, but if you'd rather use Mylar bags with oxygen absorbers, you're welcome to bring those instead. The amount and type of packaging you'll need depends on the food being processed and how much it reduces in volume after freeze-drying. We'll be happy to help you determine approximately how much packaging you'll need.
  4. One customer per machine load
We dedicate an entire freeze-dryer load to your food. We do not mix different customers' food in the same machine load. Our freeze dryer has 5 trays measuring approximately 11" × 7" × 1". As a general guideline, each tray can hold approximately 4 cups of liquid, or 8 cups of solid food. Actual capacity will vary depending on the food, its preparation, and how it needs to be arranged on the trays.
  5. We freeze-dry your food
Once your food is delivered, we'll handle the freeze-drying process. Processing time can vary depending on the type and quantity of food.
  6. Pick it up when it's ready
We'll contact you when your batch is finished and arrange your pickup.

Important Storage & Handling Information

All food is freeze-dried and visually inspected for dryness and packaging readiness at the time it is returned to the customer.
Once your food is picked up, proper storage and handling are the customer's responsibility. Freeze-dried food should be stored in an appropriate airtight, moisture-proof container and kept in a cool, dry, dark location away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight.
Improper packaging, storage, or handling after pickup can result in moisture absorption, loss of quality, spoilage, or reduced shelf life.
Freeze Dry Everything is not responsible for changes in quality or condition that occur after the food has been released to the customer.
Customers are responsible for following appropriate food-storage practices after pickup.

Pricing
$75 per batch of your freeze dried product.

A complete batch uses 5 trays, approximately 11" × 7" × 1" per tray

Why is there a 5-tray minimum?
Our Harvest Right Medium freeze dryer is designed to operate using its tray system throughout the freeze-drying process. To ensure we are using the machine properly and efficiently, we require all 5 trays to contain food before a batch is started.
For this reason, we do not run partially filled machine loads.

Your food stays completely separate
Every machine load is dedicated to one customer.
We never mix different customers' food together in the same machine load.
You can use your five trays for different foods within your own batch, provided the foods are appropriate for freeze-drying and can be processed together.
